Distance education - year 2020/21

Dear students,

the fall semester 2020/21 will start remotely, with possible exceptions for experimental courses up to 15 participants (such as robotics or advanced courses requiring a specialized software). We expect that the restrictions will last for most of the semester. Our goal is to ensure teaching in the standard volume and quality. Our experience from the spring semester suggest that together we can achieve this goal.

Please follow the regularly updated faculty-wide information on the current restrictions.

At the school of computer science, we have decided to communicate with you using moodle and zoom platforms, in addition to web pages and email. For updates concerning these platforms, together with some technical advice, see the faculty manual and CS school manual.

The information about each course will be available in SIS or on the webpage of the course. For online classes, we will respect the current timetable and have the recordings available for later viewing. Zoom allows all interaction to be also recorded; if you wish to stay out of the recorded video, please follow the lectures with video switched off – even then you can ask questions, e.g., in the chatroom.

Given the situation, one can assume that there will be irregularities and unexpected situations involving students as well as teachers. We plan to take this into account as much as possible. We also ask you for your understanding.
